Global Nature Fund (GNF) is a non-profit environmental foundation committed to protecting nature and biodiversity worldwide. Founded in 1998, GNF focuses on the sustainable use of natural resources, ecological conservation, and improving living conditions through innovative, cross-sectoral solutions.
In the VISIONARY project, GNF serves as co-lead of Work Package 1, which is dedicated to communication, dissemination, and exploitation. In this role, GNF is responsible for ensuring that the project’s findings, tools, and innovations reach a wide audience—from policymakers and businesses to civil society and the scientific community.
GNF is also involved in Work Package 6, focusing on science-policy interfaces and relationship building. Here, GNF draws on its extensive network of partners in the food industry—both in Germany and internationally—to support dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and business actors. GNF is a co-founder and member of Food for Biodiversity e.V., an alliance of companies in the food sector, environmental organisations, standard-setting bodies, and scientific institutions. Its mission is to embed the protection and promotion of biodiversity throughout the entire value chain of the food industry.
