Causal Loop Diagrams representing system dynamics of food systems

This report applies a system dynamics approach, using qualitative Causal Loop Diagrams (CLDs) to visualise the cause-and-effect relationships and reinforcing and balancing feedback loops between system variables that drive sustainability transitions across four thematic areas: local short food chains, water management, agri-biodiversity, and climate impact from consumption. This provides insight into key complex dynamics and interdependent conditions that may facilitate, inhibit, or slow transition. In total, four CLDs were developed, each broken into subsystem diagrams for simplification and clarity.
