Join our upcoming webinar where we’ll delve into the practical aspects of promoting local and organic food through public food procurement. Gain insights from the University of Aberdeen’s VISIONARY project, which sheds light on the enablers and challenges of sustainable public food procurement. Our expert speakers will provide valuable practical perspectives: Daniel Keech will discuss the integration of SMEs in tenders and the role of innovation through the Dynamic Purchasing System. Sarah Gowanlock will share experiences from the Soil Association’s ‘Food for Life served here’ program. Additionally, Bente Kramer Møller and Mark Hunter, two leaders from regional councils in Denmark and the UK, will showcase practical examples from procurement strategies of a city and a rural council, respectively, which have made great strides towards more sustainable food systems.

Together, we will explore areas of innovation, essential building blocks to sustainable public procurement from design to implementation, and the steps different stakeholders can take.
