Insights from the European Water Resilience Strategy (2025)

In this second SPI briefing, we introduce foresight—an approach that helps stakeholders move beyond disagreements, strengthen cooperation and trust, and explore shared pathways toward a desirable future. This is especially relevant for complex and sensitive issues such as collective water use in agriculture, a critical resource for food production. The policy corner highlights key insights from the European Water Resilience Strategy (June 2025), the Water Framework Directive (WFD), and highlights regarding water within the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
