Webinar: Exploring Sustainable Solutions – Public Food Procurement for Local and Organic Food Markets

In this webinar we delve into the practical aspects of promoting local and organic food through public food procurement. Gain insights from the University of Aberdeen’s VISIONARY project, which sheds light on the enablers and challenges of sustainable public food procurement. Our expert speakers provide valuable practical perspectives: Daniel Keech discusses the integration of SMEs in tenders and the role of innovation through the Dynamic Purchasing System. Sarah Gowanlock shares experiences from the Soil Association’s ‘Food for Life served here’ program. Additionally, Bente Kramer Møller and Mark Hunter, two leaders from regional councils in Denmark and the UK, showcase practical examples from procurement strategies of a city and a rural council, respectively, which have made great strides towards more sustainable food systems.
